Vanity

Contributed by x_midnight_x on Thursday, 23rd September 2004 @ 12:33:29 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Our worlds dressed up in vanity,
perched on the high heels of insanity.
A lip gloss smeared humanity.

Smudged with mascara and tummy tucks,
Breast implants the size of trucks.
Hair extentions..its the year of the arse,
In hot pants wriggling up the charts.

Face lifts and cat walks,
glamour girls as thin as forks.
Bodies,clothes,cars and sex,
fake tans,blondes and muscley pecks.

Losing ourselves in illusions,
breathing in the polutions.
Selling our souls in a half price sale,
looking for bargains tagged on the rail.

What an awesome poem of reality reflecting the true society of modern times. I truly appreciate your wonderful creative style of poetry. Please have a peek at some of mine and let me know what you think. Your friend Mickey Pig Knuckles :o)
