I'm Tired

Contributed by pixie on Thursday, 23rd September 2004 @ 10:17:25 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I’m tired of fighting with this force,
Maybe I should let it run its course,
Take me under its dark wing once & for all,
As everyone fails to hear my strangled calls.

I feel like I have lived ten times over,
Black is the colour of my four-leaf clover,
Vultures circle waiting for my death,
Praying that I inhale my last breath.

Every last bit of me feels ready to drop,
Psyche’s good & ready for the chop,
Blood no longer holds any oxygen,
I feel like my ending has really begun.

I sleep yet I don’t feel rested,
My state of mind is constantly being tested,
Eyes are heavy, limbs are so weak,
Think my depression is at its peak.

All I want to do is have a peaceful sleep,
Soothe my crying soul as it weeps,
Close my tired eyes & drift away,
Dream my pain & heartache far away.

This so heart wrenchingly sad Pixie, How I am sorry for the agonie you are going through is beyond words.
I can only wish that you find the solace in dreams rest, look for the purity within yourself to find the essence and warmth deserved by one such as yourself.
Take care always and forever may for wishes be true to you.

pixie,
Similar to the last one I posted, same feeling, no sleep, it starts to wear on you.
I like the way you expressed yours better.
I hope sleep finds you soon and with it peace.

Hope that soon you find a way to get the sleep that you so clearly need.
I can empathise with the tiredness and feeling drained bit, I feel like that all the time at the moment.Luckily for me I am sleeping

Steve

Sleep is wonderful for so many reasons. Rest and rejuvenation of both body and soul are necessary. I pray that you get that which you need to restore you. Keep writing.

When my depression gets this way all I want to do is sleep. And sometimes I do. Then everyone gets worried and I don't want them to be around me to be worried and it gets worse... and then it gets better soon after all that.

Once again, a lovely poem.

Lots of love and peace be with you,

Chelsea
