If you have curles
and get it straightened
your stuck with mousey brown hair
so you go blonde because it's what 's rated
if you are standing as high as most peoples shoulder
off you go to the shoe shop
buy high heels so you look much older
you are born with white beautiful skin
so at the beach you try to get real tanned
thinking that brown skin is in
your boobs are too big
or just a little too small
you have surgery
so others will admire your -all
if you are not real happy
with your private pieces
don't go changing/ your beautiful
so don't go to pieces
now think hard
are you really happy with the changes deep inside?
if your not
go back to how God MADE you...
[there is a reason for it]
take away those images that made YOUR inner being
- hide-

Beautifully written, I sometimes wonder if This is the way I want to look, I've died my hair all sots of colors, lol even some that were abit bright on the eyes, i done things to my body I am not proud of.
But in the end of all my torture and self abuse, and here and now, i am actually happy with just being me. and your poem helped me see this.Thanx. |
