My Affliction

Contributed by Kavita on Thursday, 23rd September 2004 @ 09:29:21 AM in AEST
Topic: toughstuff

Cruel, Sadistic, Vile,
That’s how your mind works,
Dark, evil, wicked,
You don’t care how much it hurts,
You want to crush me into nothing,
You enjoy tearing me apart,
With your malicious and spiteful tongue,
Those words from your callous heart,
Bitter tears fall from my eyes,
Do I deserve this misery and pain?
My chest is so tense, I’ve cried so much,
The torment and anguish; too much to contain,
I need to leave this awful place,
Never endure your viciousness again,
I long to be freed from your inferno,
Like a damned chicken in the slaughter pen,
Concepts of death are gushing through my mind,
It’s the only way out of this malevolent place,
And I’d be doing the world a favour,
By relieving it of this hideous face,
So I guess the fairytales are wrong,
Full of Utopian lies,
It’s actually the bad guys that succeed,
And it’s the good guy that always dies…

It took alot of strength and guts to write of this, That shows through the powerful feelings that you unleashed with each word.
I know it sucks what people do to others just for the hell of it.
But dont let it get you down the time will come when they are in your shoes, then they will know how you and many others like yourself once felt.
You wrote this well and thank you for sharing such a powerful poem.
Take care always.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
