When necessary illusions will fade to transparent
And commercial jingles, colourful wrapping, ribbons and bows
Become background noise and pale grays
The view of reality might come into question
If not for stark nakedness of depravity’s fine edge
A talking head sincerely recites script
Written by a faceless stranger
In the room down the hall
And, as eyebrows arch and hidden egos roar,
You can tell without question
He knows you’re a fool
Who would dare disbelieve the fundamental truths
Expounded by the Gods of Clarity & Concision
From their empire of manufactured consent
So high to actually touch the heavens
From Mt. Messiah?
“Not I Not I” trumpets the armorless warrior
charging the hill with blood in his eyes
… frozen propaganda pumping lies through his lifetime
the same little boy playing marbles in Johhny’s back yard
“TAG … you’re it!”
Full metal jacket tears a hole
through the young hero’s head
And a little boy drops to the earth
Like a sack
Deception and Lies all run
run away
and leave him to spill
what he once could have been
on an alien land
so far away, so far away …
