Lycanthrope

Topic: psychoticpoems

I walk the dark alleys at night
In search of my next meal.
And if you won't give it to me,
Your blood I will gladly steal.
I'm a lycanthrope and I will kill you.
I'm a werewolf and I will kill you.
I'm a wolf and I will kill you.
I'm me and I will kill you!
Don't try to run and don't hide
I will track you down and kill you.
I will drink down your warm blood
Your blood will run down my chin.
I will lap up your life-blood
And I will savor every drop.
I will suck out every last bit
And, until it's gone, I won't stop.
I will abandon your body
And seek my mortal prey.
I will smell it and follow it.
I will stalk it and I will play.
I might show myself just for amusement,
Just to get my quarry frightened.
It will get wide eyes when I slash it's throat.
And only in death will it be enlightened.
Only in death will it see who I am.
A pitiful, wretched man who preys
On other pitiful, wretched men,
I have filled many facsimile graves.
I am getting hungry again,
So, if you wish to live, listen and take heed.
Don't walk the streets,
I must feed I must feed I must feed.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
