Promises Broken

Contributed by JeS_CaRloS on Wednesday, 22nd September 2004 @ 03:32:55 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

You told me that you cared for me
I know that this is true
You told me you’d always be there for me
For this is so untrue
On days that you promised me together time we would spend
I would not beable to contact you
As if you didn’t have time to spare
I have forgave you for avoiding me on certain days
I have forgave you for going back on promises that you should not have made
Promises are meant for you to keep
Not to always break

I remember my last birthday all I wanted was you
I wanted to see you
But just hearing from you would do
I told you over and over that’s all I wanted
And what did I get?
I called and called you over and over left you messages
That you seemed not to get
For you never called me and avoided me for days
All day on my birthday all I did was cry
For you broke your promise
I forgave you for this and I acted like I didn’t care
Then it seemed like you were trying to pull away from me as if you were scared
I know you had a lost love before you started your life in the military
For I did the same, so you are scared to intrust in someone
Well so was i
But I trusted in you and you broke my heart
I thought that if I trusted in you and gave you my all together we would be
And together we would survive, but you couldn’t give me your heart because you are
still scared but I understand
I can promise you that
I would never fail you
I would always be there for you
Until my dying day
I would give up everything
And do anything for you
Until my dying day.
