My beautiful wings are now broken,
Now my unhappiness has finally spoken,
I once soared across the bright, blue sky,
Can’t find the strength all I do is cry.
How I long to embrace my love once again,
Fall into each other take away all the pain,
Holding you in my arms will see me through,
My daily thoughts are filled with only you.
Please touch my soul, make my heart beat,
Pick the world up that lays at my feet,
Help me to smile & un cry these tears,
May our love live for many happy years.
I feel like I have a lead weight around me,
Being ill is something I no longer want to be,
I wish that the pain could be washed away,
But it’s still there when I wake the next day.
Bring the sun with you make it shine,
Take me in your arms, let us entwine,
I wish for the strength to return to my wings,
Is it too much to need all of these things?
My broken wings do hurt me so,
Down my deep river eternal tears do flow,
I have lost out on so many smiles & laughter,
All I want is for you & I to live happily ever after.

Pixie I no not of what pain you are suffering from, but your poems scream sadness, they are so heart wrenching to read, but in a good way I mean no insult by my comments, Its just that you write with such passion it defies the eye and engulfs the mind....
