As The Poison Flows

Contributed by pixie on Wednesday, 22nd September 2004 @ 10:02:13 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

As the poison flows around my veins,
My thoughts become more & more insane,
My mind has been ravaged & plagued,
Feeling alive all seems a bit vague.

The venom from the snakes of my past,
Over me a dark shadow is cast,
Haunting me until the day I die,
Never anyone hears me when I cry.

Flower has long turned into an ugly weed,
As I shatter into pieces my eyes bleed.
My heart is rotting like a dead tree,
Soul is no longer visible enough to see.

Feel like I have been robbed of my spirit,
If I am not a whole person I may as well quit,
Curl up into a tight ball & slowly vanish,
Into hell on earth I have been banished.

Black thoughts of suicide & death,
Are fighting to steal my last breath,
As the poison is taking away my once happy life,
I see the silver glint of the kitchen knife.

Oh hunni...
I feel so bad that you feel bad. But...i live this poem.
I just really do. I actually think it is one of your best.
The flow is perfect, all the words seem as if they are just meant to be together.
Overall an amazing write.
Losta love,

Your poetry rocks Pixie so suicide must be kept at bay for you would be greatly missed....You write with so much passion and emoitons send ripples forever outward drawing all near, awaiting for your next creation.
No suicide is not an option, but who am I to say such things, this poem like all your poems are well worth reading and flow with an awesome rythem from an awesome heart.
Take care always and forever.

You have a beautiful way of expressing the way we all feel at times. Whether you feel it more than others, I don't know. But I do know, that suicide is never the answer. You have so many things to live for, and be thankful for, including your ability to write heart wrenching poetry.
xoxo-jen.

I think this is the first poem of yours I didn't really relate to. However, I still think it was great.
The way you express your emotions is just so crystal clear. I'm awestricken.

Lots of love and peace be with you,

Chelsea
