The Apology

Contributed by toadsprincess on Tuesday, 21st September 2004 @ 07:01:18 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

I am sorry I never called
and that I never did better.
I am sorry I was not there when you first crawled,
and for never answering that letter.
I am sorry I never taught you how to skate
and for leaving you all alone.
I am sorry I was not there on your first date,
and for never picking up the phone!!!
I am sorry I was not there when you turned sixteen,
and when you learned to drive.
I am sorry for being so mean,
and acting like your not alive.
I am sorry for not seeing you dance,
and for missing that graduation.
I am sorry for always taking a chance,
and saying I did not get the invitation!
I am sorry for all these things,
and for putting them of till another time.

The "porme" poetry is truly bore me poetry, that said, this one has its rhyme and I think that some thought should go into writing and rhyming takes thought. I'll put a point on for that. Although, there are no mreal good metaphors here and I adore metaphor, you did write from the perspective of someone else and that's creative too. You did post it on the internet putting yourself up for criticism and that gets a point too. No misspellings that gets a third of a point. I didn't enjoy it so no points for my pleasure and no points because of my similar experiences. So you get a 3.3 on the Nortiscale.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
