DayChild

Topic: happypoetry

I play as a child under the sun
With every breath it's all in fun
If you weighed our fun,
It'd be in a ton of puns
Just me and my enlightened friend
He's big and round and has no end
He and I play games with the wind
We're blown through silky meadow lands
I hold on tight to the light with my hands
As the wind's hair taunts me with its invisible strands
It's hard to play hide and seek with these two
'Cause no matter where I go there there, too
In a meadow there's scarcely a tree for base
So I decide the game's over, there's no time to waste
Running with outstretched arms in my carefree days

that was awesome... the imagery and thought behind it truly worthy of being called poetry. that was REAL poetry.. not just a diary entry.. awesome awesome job. i like the idea that light and wind are everywhere and the last line was also wonderful. :)
