Unknown fear

Walking barefoot on the glass
Leaving the trails of blood in the past
Feet so cold and damp from ice
Dagger sharp as it makes its first slice
I cut the wounds away
making myself clean for another day
The dagger in reality are my words
Begging so silently to be heard.
I'm not upset
neither depressed
but I flee from the pain
So I'm freezing in shadowed rain
Hair drenched and dripping wet
My date with fate is already set
I plead the fifth towards all the liars
And watch it crumble as it all expires
Another day flushed down the drain
I can finally wake up and not be insane.

::applauds:: i loved this. i was hesitant to read this because of the category it was set in, but your title was intriguing. your first stanza was my favorite out of all of this. this was powerful, dark, and well written in form. keep up the good work =] |
