Realizations

Contributed by Archie on Tuesday, 21st September 2004 @ 02:20:25 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

Did you hear about the storm that came last night
leaving torment in it's wake it's frightful plight
All the people that it swept so far away
We wonder where they went to our dismay
Are we any different than those who came before
looking for the sunlight, yet life we do ignore

(Chorus)
I want to go to a place
where the people still greet each other
a place where friends
do not use and hurt one another

I keep on wading through the pain
learning once again
teaching by example
and lighting the life candle

When was the last time that you thought about some one
and made them better by the actions you have done
Do you remember what your mom and dad taught you
lessons that they hoped would guide your whole life through
Are we any different than those who came before
looking for a sign yet the lessons we ignore
