daddy,daddy cruel
all those arguments you and mummy had
were they that bad
i hid most of the time
to blur out the cries
and the blood spilt, crimson over the floor
the carpet soaked
the docters said you lost 4 pints
didnt stop you abusing yourself
you even opened yourself with my baby eyes watching
my soul tortured
your wrists wounded so hollow
the pictures you made
the paint smudged
and the slate broken and sprinkled in your vein
for your blood to ungulph
you and mommy where all i had
no big sisters to cry to
no big brother to watch out for me
i was all alone
watching a lifetime of lovers end
finally you went
told me you were going forever
did you expect me to be bothered?
well im not!!
its been to long to remember your face
your pictures burnt
no memory of you whatsoever
exceot that one last word
' i love you '
and i shake my head
i hate you
you left me
daddyless
oh daddy daddy cruel
how could you leave a little girl all alone
no fire within my soul
my flame unlit
my stories long forgotton
like your face
live your life without your daughter
you have another family now
another child to love
so goodbye daddy forever

So sad so well written. I thought I wrote some sad stuff but this hurts. I had 2 women take two sets of children away from me. i can still hear they're pleads don't yell Mommy he's a nice man! I can still see a three year old next to a u-haul truck waving good-bye as she watches ,me leave for work for the last time. This brings it all back and tears to my eyes. |
