Death and I

Contributed by Solmyr1404 on Monday, 20th September 2004 @ 05:38:44 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

And once again
Death becomes me,
And I Death,
Seemingly for eternity,
For it comes
And becomes;
It destroys and recovers
My soul,
But now it dwells
In the final moments
Of my dying sanity,
For without her,
There can be no sanity for me,
And now I am left vulnerable
In the degrading condition
Of my mind.
No one helps,
They choose not to,
But they can not help,
For I am beyond it.
I simply take another drink,
Another drag,
To forget about her,
Put the barrel to my head
And pull the trigger
With the safety on.
Suicide:
Not a solution,
Not an option,
Just a way to toy
With the feeble-minded.
When will she return to me?
When will she cease
This [-] masquerade?
When will she quit
[-] with my head?
Why doesn't she just go on ahead
And [-] kill me?
But even as I scream
These pointless questions, I know
She won't quit
Until Death completely becomes me,
And I, Death.
