NOT EVERYONE CAN SAY THAT TOO!
I live in a home
With clothes and food
Not everyone can say that too.
Some aren’t safe,
Because they’re not free.
I wish that they could be like me.
I wonder if I was like them,
If I was in their shoes,
Would I look up to God and ask,
Are you really true?
Why are you allowing me to struggle everyday?
Why am I the only one who has to live this way?
You know,
Sometimes I look at my expensive shirts.
That money could save maybe two children hurt
And I know I can help those in need to survive.
I know I can help them be glad to be alive.
But yet, I still have the riches of a fool.
And,
I still go to an expensive school
And,
I still have luxuries that I don’t need
And,
I still haven’t done, not one good deed
No, Im just here at home
With clothes and Food
Sitting in my bed
With nothing to do
Not everyone can say that too.

great write. very true. well nothing will change that unfortunantly. they think giving to the poor helps them, and not solving the reason they are poor is never even considered. trying to compensate does nothing, solving the problem does. |

Its true, we must count our blessings. But we must think of others who have it much much worse than us. I wish I could do something about this, but then again, who does't want to change things for the better for those other people?
Great poem!!!! |
