Tangled web of woven desires
Stirring within the depth of my soul.
Knowingly, he feeds those fires,
Wanting, needing, to take control.
Fighting, running, confused and torn,
My heart I leave behind.
He pulls the chain, twisting tighter,
Quietly taking my peace of mind.
He wants my soul, I know it, I feel it,
He wants all that I am.
Leaves me breathless, hurting, bleeding,
Quickly destroying all that I have.
I want my Savior, need my Savior,
But filthy, dirty, I hide from His eyes.
This boy, this tormentor, this idol of mine,
Has taken away the Joy in my life.
The light is gone, it's quenched, maybe missing,
my heart is broken, busted, bleeding.

The Surreal eeL y'know Feel says:
The title is great, and threw me off, which made the poem even more interesting.
Well done! |
