Plague

Topic: AngryPoetry

I'm stuck in this **** world,
Full of smiles and greeting cards,
Demonic little boys and girls,
Cold killers and broken hearts,
Happy faces and nasty thoughts,
Fake lives that no one's ever had,
And **** lives that everyone's got.
There's people who are just bad,
People who actually try to be good,
But fall farther into helpless dispair,
And people who know they should
But because of life, they just don't care.
There're buildings of metal, wood, stone.
There's life and the pitiful absence of.
Empty homes are inhabited by no one.
Slander is hate, and sex is love.
Wrong is right, and right is gone.
I'm just too **** confused
To try to understand anyone,
And I'm angry that I've been used.
The circle of life is permanently broken,
It just goes like this: animal eats fruit,
Animal ***** fruit seeds, seeds start growing,
Becomes plant, bunny eats plant shoots,
Runs away, wolf eats bunny, wolf gets shot.
Mankind is a disease, a plague, a sickness.
To destroy is our instinct, to build is not.
All we do is kill and die, every day we mean less.
There is no such thing as perfection,
There is no such thing as progress,
There are not any new directions.
The only way to save ourselves is to regress.
Every technical advance we make is just
Another way for us to kill more men.
To live competely again, we must
Stop advancing, stop it, and stop it again.
For all our supposed intelligence,
We still have no **** idea
That we are living in a fence
That we can't even leave this area.
We are **** locked up,
Chained to the blade,
To the bomb we're handcuffed,
Drowning in Kool-aid.
Hanging by the power cord,
Tied to the nuclear warhead,
Buried under the weapons we stored,
Run away, you're shot dead.
Back to the **** mines
You're a prisoner, a criminal,
Work till you die, write your lines,
You're a zombie, your life is subliminal.
So continue on, I know I will,
Working for all my wasted days,
Eating the same old **** still,
Because, face it, there is no other way.
