I could go in a crowd of strangers
And still get more recognition
Than I get from you some days
I could speak to the deaf, dumb, and mute
And still get more response
Than I get from you some days
My real friends are shut behind their lives
My woes and worries my own
Not there to share when I think I need them
But there when I think I'm fine on my own
More than just my selfish wish
I really do feel all alone
Not a boy or a girl
Could take away my emptiness
There's only one void to fill
She comes from my past
She's a fragile ghost
Of the person I once thought her to be
