Broken Homes and Happy Endings
~A poem by Kat Something~
Teardrops on rose petals,
Snowflakes on eyelashes.
Pretty porcelain masks,
Decorated with sparkling eyes,
And a glass smile.
Blue feathers on angels’ wings,
A concert of silver wind chimes,
A rag doll’s torn dress,
A joyful expression that has been
Missing a while.
Wishing on rain clouds’ dreams,
Sweeping dark ocean tides,
Inside a cracked mirror,
A reflection of choices,
Soon to be made.
Soft marshmallow moonbeams,
Solemn memories kept in a locket,
I sit in the corner,
With my lost happiness coming into focus,
All because you stayed.

Beautiful. Powerful. Eloquent. I love this poem . . .
Lines 3-5 and the whole last stanza are just perfect.
Fantastic job.
