DREAMING OF DREAMS

Topic: Nostalgic

"DREAMING OF DREAMS"

As a young girl I wore a bonnet full of dreams......
Embraced by roses, sunflowers, and smiles esteem
Full of hope n'er despair, goodness sewn in every seam!
Also wore my heart for to all to see, letting it beam!

And......O' the dreams, the dreams.....
Like a babbling brook, or rippling of streams!
Flowed so easily adrift in my mind
beautiful songs with lovely themes.
Someday, yes, Someday my Prince....
(dramatic) and always went to extremes!

He will be so kind, and gentle toward me,
Butterfly landing so softly with beauty.
And I, O' My Yes, I'd love him with all my soul.
Our love so endearing, so loving, so whole!

As a young woman my dreams unfold into reality.....
He would take me in his arms, with all his charms,
On top of the world we'd dance all night slowly,
Exquisite delightful peace.....without alarms.

Soar to the moon as he held me so close,
O' the dreaming of dreams n'er oppose,
As an older woman gliding on dreams cherish......
Mind's n'er grow old, dreams n'er banish!

"Twenty years from now you will be
more disappointed by the things that you didn't do,
than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines,
Sail away from the safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails,
Explore.....Dream.....Discover!!!"
~Mark Twain~

I really enjoyed this the pictures made it so much more visual. You have such a knack at writing I would appreciate some constructive criticism that's if you get some time. My earlier stuff is more positive you have to kind of sort thru but much appreciated.. I am reading some more of your work looking forward to what's in store.

I really liked
"Soar to the moon as he held me close
O' the dreaming of dreams n'er oppose
As an older woman gliding on dreams cherish
Minds never grow old, dreams never banish"

love it

So many dreams we have when we're young. I encourage my daughter to go after them and learn who she is and what she wants. Men can wait. Rushing into marriage is a mistake. I don't want her completely focused on that, I just want her to know who she is and go after what she wants in life with God's guidance.
