Upsetting Memories

Contributed by Worthless_Lyfe on Saturday, 18th September 2004 @ 06:45:34 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Upsetting memories, he begins to feel sorrow
Wishing that today was the last and there was no tomorrow
Some so distraught they just won’t leave
And he cannot continue on but will continue to grieve
These memories won’t leave from inside his head
A plead from him for this memory to be dead
A tear starts to build in the back of his head
He becomes flustered, eyes turning red
A long breath, and finally a deep sigh
The tear slowly drips down from his eye
Scaling down the cheek and slips off the chin
Too upset, not even able forge a grin
What was this event that had to occur?
It is unknown, but he again reaches for his liquor
One swig and another bottle is finished
A once proud man, his stature has diminished
No longer able to keep himself up straight
Getting well and moving on is not something he will contemplate
Once accomplished and respected
After this event he’s been completely defected
This memory has ruined his existence
All the pain, he no longer has any resistance
The memory has brought suicide as the only option into his thought
He and the memory have constantly fought,
Now it will end as he ties the final knot
Slips the loop over his head, it scratches down his face
He believes he will be forget this upsetting memory by leaving this place
As he loses his footing on the stool, he struggles to remain
Even in his last moments he fights against the memories pain
He begins to turn blue and the memory starts to fade
This is the choice he has made, the ultimate price he has paid
