YOU SAVED ME

Contributed by buccaneer on Saturday, 18th September 2004 @ 08:42:21 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I was on the verge of making it big in life
With a lady i knew for a short rime
Deeply in love we exchanged everything
From French kisses to lustful sex
Then the promises of a better tomorrow
Brought happiness of a love found in truth and completeness
The days later turned into night as i waited
For our promises to yield forth good fruit
Though now the distance between us was now too far to comprehend
But i waited in love and trust.
Until the veil fell from my eyes
One particular hour meant so much to me now
As if heaven new my heart was dying from a love gone sour
Heaven opened to send forth an Angel
Yes you came to me like an Angel sent from up above
Filled my heart with a different kind of love
Never thought of and never experienced in all my years of experience
You dazzled my world, you changed my heart, you flourished me
With a new heart and a new life.
You turned my sadness into joy and my happiness to glory
You saved me oh yes! You saved me
With a kiss and with tears of joy, love and understanding

Wow. What a beautiful tale. I can relate.
It's wonderful when things happen for the
right reasons....
Great poem.
