You have been consumed by my dreams,
I will not lose you while I sleep.
You are hidden in the corners of my body,
Slowly breaking the foundation of my pride.
I'm slowly opening the door to my heart,
For the hinges have been damaged,
Hoping that you will come in and remain,
Hoping you will repair that which has left me broken,
Hoping you will become the stronger part of me.
I fight myself to let you go,
Yet my heart defeats all I know,
I can't seem to forget your smiles nor frowns,
This love that burdens me
Leaves me inside out.
