Just Paper

Even though it's just paper
it's used to buy and sell things
We all share a common belief
from what we have been told
that pieces of paper
are just as good as gold.

The paper is actually this synthetic cloth-based stuff, currently composed of 25% linen and 75% cotton, although prior to World War I it was made primarily from silk. Said paper is carefully kept in step with inflation to ensure that the right number of pieces of it will buy an appropriate amount of gold by people like Ben Bernancke and others. Pretty good system I'd say. Agreed. Keep up the good!
