My Yesterday

Contributed by AnastasiaN on Friday, 17th September 2004 @ 05:29:54 PM in AEST
Topic: hbadday

I dare you to step into my yesterday
I dare you to cry my tears
I dare you to feel the inside pain
that I've hidden away all these years
If you'd like you can take my tomorrow
and live it how you think I should live
But don't think my tomorrow will be perfect
Because it rarely ever is
Until you've inherited the essence
of my history to now
Until you've cried every single tear
and experienced every fall
Do not draw up loose conclusions
from what is in front of you
What you see and hear is all jaded
How I've lived and felt is real

Very bitter. So much raw emotion in this poem. Not bad.

basically it says walk a mile in my shoes...right? Big cities have the same bull..I've been in both..part of the problem and part of the solution.. small towns you just get a microscopic view...the rumor in a big city doesn't get back to you as fast lol. or maybe you move before it ever does... best to pay it no mind or you'll be nuts...Great write by the way. as if I'd know...
