Pass Along This Smile

Topic: dedicatedpoems

Please pass along this smile,
It will stay with you all the while,
A smile is something we sometimes need,
When we feel our hearts set to bleed.

So I will start with a smile & a hug,
It can become like an addictive drug,
Spreading happiness is a special gift,
I feel good if I have given someone a lift.

YPDC is a place of laughter & of fun,
So here is my contribution a piece of the sun,
Let it shine & light up the gloom,
Sit & watch as the poetry flowers bloom.

We are all friends here there’s no doubt,
Even if we don’t agree & feelings come out,
This is a place that we all love dearly,
We feel at home here that is seen very clearly.

Take hold of my hand & dance with me,
Expression is a great way of feeling free,
We share a special talent for the written word,
When we write no stone is left unturned.

So pass along my little ray of sunshine,
Breathe it in & you will feel sublime,
YPDC is a place where our family gathers,
As long as we have each other that’s all that matters.

I'll accept your offer
and dance with you all
Together we'll rise
and try not to fall
If our klutzy feet
should cause us to sin
We'll gratefully lift
each other up again
Stitch
