The Dark Soul Of The Night

Contributed by kidpoet_213 on Friday, 17th September 2004 @ 09:12:27 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Welcome to his lair...
Anytime... anywhere...
Day or night...
As the full moon glows golden bright
In a cloudless blue starry sky

The whispers... you hear... are creeping within
"Come"... they say… "it'll be all right... nobody's around... who's gonna know?"
Dark whispers are calling you... to their show
With their icy fingers of dread
From the middle of the darkness

The dark soul of the night
Comes to life…
Speaking to you from deep within
As his icy fingers creep and spread
Touching places... not to be known
Never to be shown... to the likes of someone like him

He entwines your body with his
Then in a voice so evil... so vile
Trailing out of the darkness of your life
Like a spell... cast over u...
He reassures you... "Everything's gonna be all right"
Then… with the same breath...
Threatens you with a hiss...
"If you tell..." he says..." You'll wish that u were dead!"

U just lie there… wanting to cry... wanting to run... wanting to hide
But u can't...
You're frozen by the fear of his tight grasp
As his seething... searing eyes of midnight red...
Peer into the darkened paths ahead
That's leading you no where fast
To dark paths of your past

Then you… suddenly… hear the screams of a tortured spirit
Who is this? You wonder...
Then you realize...
As it sings it's tortured lullaby...
It's u screaming... with no one to hear

The glowing eyes of red of the dark soul of the night
Peer deep within...
Seeing what they can
Grasping and groping... what is not theirs
Stealing all of life's innocence from u
Because the demonic spirits of the damned are loosed

Then when he is done..
When he is finished his dastardly deed
And has gotten what he wants... but doesn't need
He... then... sits back and laughs...
Taunting your tortured soul
That's been his latest victim

He shows no remorse for what he's done
For the life... he has left in utter ruins…
Just to have his fun
His course in life is set...
It has begun...
To destroy all of what God has so lovingly created for good
The dark soul of the night's mission
Is now completed...
Or is it?

Wow, there was so much meaning that you could take out of this poem. Extremely beautiful, one of my favorites. Awesome work!
