Watching You

I can stand here and watch you forever, the way you are, the way you smile. I don't want to move, don't want to disturb the air... afraid that it will change you. The way you smile, a beam of light that bounces off of everything. I watch you smile, it starts small, then expands... and in your eyes I can see your smile, whenever you look at me... I feel your smile. Those eyes that stare back at me, warm and passionate. And if there were ever a moment that I felt cold, it is only because your eyes were not upon me. Oh, I dare not move, I can see you perfectly from here, but then everywhere that's near you, is near perfect. If the air does sway and swoon near and around you, only because I cannot stay still being near and around you, then let each particle that caresses you, be my caress. Let each current that brushes against you as I pass by, be my hands and my arms, and let the very air itself be my body; as I can stand and watch you forever, I can stay and hold you for eternity.
