Beautiful

Contributed by Silent-No-More on Friday, 17th September 2004 @ 04:20:40 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

There beneath a wise oak tree
We sit together, contentedly
Your hand meets with mine just then
Where you begin, I end

My eyelids droop, to dream
I cannot deny you it seems
Your voice surrounds me like the wind
Where you begin, I end

I’m lost in the words you choose
Yielding, I move in close to you
All hesitation falls away just then
Where you begin, I end

Gripped by the essence of you
I succumb then, resistance through
Your passion and mine precisely akin
Where you begin, I end

And when soul to soul we meet
I no longer tremble, though I weep
I glimpse your heart and I’m drawn in
Where you begin, I end

I close my eyes...
And fall into you

Beautiful you

Such a beautiful piece you have crafted, SNM. This is the way true love should always be and you have captured it so wonderfully.

And when soul to soul we meet
I no longer tremble, though I weep
I glimpse your heart and I’m drawn in
Where you begin, I end

This is truly the essence of the piece and the essence of what love is all about.

Excellent write...PM30

I close my eyes...
And fall into you

Very beautifully written in your unique style SNM...I am ALWAYS impressed and amazed when I come to see what you have to share.

To have someone touch you in this way is the most perfect love...and truly is overwhelming...

I noticed this had 22 reads and 2 comments. After I read it I realized that the other 20 must be guests or they would surely have said how unbelievably beautiful this was. Soooo romantic......I love it!!!!

Very well done my friend.

I feel like anything I say will be insignificant compared to what I feel about this.
To say that this piece brings out in me feelings akin to what you have written would be an understatement.
You seem to have found AND expressed something we all want in life. Whoever you wrote this for is a lucky, lucky man!
Your best yet SNM!
I want to say more, but this poet is at a loss for words.

Warm and settling.

It reminds me of an early poem of mine which I believe you've read, which was inspired by a song named 'Where I end and you begin' . . . but it was entirely more dark than this write, about lurve of all things. Which I'm hopeless at tackling. My compliments.

By the way, one of the things I was criticised for was using syllabic ommissions to fit metrically into stanzas. The anonymous poet (whom I paid hansomely for this rebuke) insisits that this technique is a relic of the 19th century, and is (in a word) 'whimsy', I see you use it here;

"Your voice comes to me ‘pon the wind"

And I think it would sound just as good without the apostrophe . . .

Anyway, that's what I learned this week :o( . . . lovely reading you again, SNM.
Keep writing.

the title says it all so apt.
That feeling of loving and trusting someone with your entire being is second to none.

close my eyes...
And fall into you

Beautiful you

i love the way this ending reads the gap after "And fall into you" then the pause and the almost breathless beautiful you.

This is gorgeous SNM,

"I close my eyes...
And fall into you

Beautiful you"

That part ends it perfectly.
I love reading your poems, it is like you have puhed a piece of your soul onto the page.
Amazing.

Wow. This is one of those few love poems that can be considered a solid cut above the rest. Truly wonderful piece! And I love the style you used. It went perfectly with this.

Bravo!
