She whistled as usual like nothing had crossed her path
An urban legend, it could never cause her harm
A dark colored figure dashing in front of her meant nothing
At least it meant nothing that day
A man on the roof didn't look suspicious to her
Under his climbing tool she strolled, minding her own business
A few steps won't hurt anything
At least it didn't hurt that day
She kept walking, despite the past events
The object in her hands kept her dry, so she didn't mind the rain
She opened the shield as she walked in her apartment; it wasn't odd
At least it didn't hurt that day
To the bathroom, she went to take her daily medicine
Accident contact with the cabinet caused shattered glass
The shards of glass didn't cause trouble
At least they didn't cause trouble that day
Several years later, she sat in her padded cell
She pondered the last seven years, and finally realized why all this happened
Immediate danger isn't the only danger you can face
