Slow Paced Cycle

You opened up the matephoric door and let him in
Two weeks and you think you know him
Your safety at risk, but he's comfortable
He'll never go, he'll be around forever
No one to blame but yourself; your harm is self issued
Outlasted relationships always seem to hurt you
Prematurely, you sent him the "invite"
You thought it already did, but the time would have never came
But you opened your arms like a door mat, and now it's too late
Ignoring the other party will only cause more problems
In your eyes and mine, all you can do is run
That's your only remaining option; so make it quick
Like a 48 hour marathon, you'll run for days
Only to find, you're back to where you started
