Black and white convert to a grey
That is almost perversely sublime
Righteous and wrong join forces at last
And the world will be theirs in due time.
In the shattered remains of the cities of earth
An innocent dies for our pain
The song of the tainted is crooned through the night
And the lost are absolved by the rain.
High treason for those who would challenge the law,
Their death borne in vain far too long
Judgment passed upon those who fell short
As the ties of the weak bind the strong.
In the end all those moral are wicked
At the close all who weep are forsaken
Those who live by the sword shall die by the sword
Damned to drown in the blood that they’ve taken.
