Reunion

Contributed by Nazmythian on Thursday, 16th September 2004 @ 03:00:51 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I screamed to the stars in pained appellation
Begging each and every constellation
For her bodies restoration
And perhaps, my own salvation

Curse this rain
And damned be all
Who benefit from its presence
My bane, it has been
For nigh unto three weeks

She begged me not to keep her waiting
But how to stop the loathsome rain
Pray, must I, for her understanding
For surely she must know the score

Through the city gates I trudge
Bone weary and damp to the core
Sleepless now three nights past
All I have, given to return to her

These familiar streets seem distorted
Something feels wrong
With a sense of urgency, I force a lope
‘Tis all I can muster

Evil, twisted gargoyles mock me
They drip their saliva down
Upon my matted hair
I force myself to pay them no mind

Thrice, disoriented, I must turn ‘round
I regain bearing by centering on the Cathedral
I force focus into panicked thought
For fear I am lost and so near my destination

There! My street!
And ‘round that corner I swear I feel her
I make the bend
Mine eyes attempt to drink in the scene before me

I see her! My heart swells
She has waited
To my eyes she could never be more beautiful
Waiting in the rain

Strength renewed, I bolt to her
Throwing others from my path
Few are out in the darkness
But they that are will not impede

I fall to my knees before her
Sweeping her into my arms
I cradle her head to my chest
And whisper to her of love and devotion

Rocking gently, I pull wet hair from her face
I apologize for making her wait
I lean into her, closing my eyes
And brush my lips against hers

My eyes snap open
Dread realized
Her lips are cold
Her gaze unfocused

I plead with her
To come in from the rain
I shift to stand
And she crumples to the ground

‘Tis then I see the blood
Her blood
And the blade at her feet
My dagger

Oh Gods, did it have to be mine own dagger
As if I had done the deed myself?
But then again, did I not?
For I had made her wait

I scream in appellation to the stars
I roar my defiance at the Gods
Who would deliver us to such cruel fates
I stand and bellow my rage at the rain

Mouths watering, gargoyles lick grotesque lips
I drop to my knees once again
Clear of mind and resolute
I know what I must do

I snatch up the blade and draw it upon flesh
The inside of my left forearm
Our bloods mate within my veins
For hers still adorns the glinting steel

I wash my face in the crimson pool beneath her
Waiting to feel her presence
Her blood flowing in my veins
Strengthens my resolve

Her blood warming inside of me
Mixing with my own
Calls her back to me
I wait patiently

Barely perceptible at first
I can feel her answering the summons
Coming to me as I draw her spirit back
Until I am bathed in her essence

I will not have her wait for me again!
With vengent fury born of madness
I sheathe my dagger
In one swift stroke

Her wait will not be long this time
For as my breathing slows
So too doth the rise and fall
Of the hilt protruding from my chest

I come for thee my love
( I come)

Why, oh why, has there been no comment on this extravegant piece?! A twisted nightmare, yet, filled with undying passion... Beguiling words, enchanting flow... I am still under the spell... The morbidity and darkness in this is deliciously rich, incredibly satisfying... Such perfection woven in these words that you create. Oh how I wish I had this beautiful gift... She waits, dearest Nazmythian, and she shall wait for an eternity until your return, it seems... A beautiful, dark, chilling story of devotion, pain, and a twisted undying love... I loved this! You never fail to enchant me with your words. Bravo! Excellent submission! I welcome you with open arms, mon cher plus chasseur... All my love. Eternally yours,

Votre fleur de sang dévouée

Now that I'm here I don't know quite what to say.

Not a fan of the dark art form, I must confess I am drawn to the beauty of your words. But it has a morbitity that goes against the grain of things I believe as a Dr. and as a human being...the self murder; almost a vampirism I guess.

But we all have different tastes and I don't mean to push mine off onto you..The words themselves are indeed woven into a beautiful tapestry.

Naz,

Although I don't always comprehend the total meaning of the Dark Poetry, I am spellbound by the potency and vivid description of your words. I get vivid pictures in my mind as your portrayal is so powerful..

Fasinating write
Good to see you back
