Not afraid of her blood, but afraid of the rain

Contributed by shrunkin_fool34142316 on Thursday, 16th September 2004 @ 02:30:04 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Afraid of the rain
And the emptiness it brings
Yet she's not afraid of her own darkened blood as it flows like a river from her wrists and above
Rainy days seem to be the absolute worse
Bad days she just scratches her wrist
She seems to keep everything in
Even upon your asking
Just ask if she's ok
Let her know your there
And with a deep sigh walk away
Her pain is beginning to really irritate you
You want to help and be her friend
Saving all her truoubles and fears
She blows you off not trusting a soul
You tell her you'll understand
That you've been through it all
And if by some off chance you don't
You have an older friend
One whom has all the answers
You want to help her escape the pain
She wants to help others free fear
Free of the rain

First of all, it is an excellent poem. Also, I can relate to this, I so badly want to help my friend, but she won't let me most of the time. I will pray for you and your friend. I pray that God will be with you both at this time.
