Friendship
There’s a gift that can be given that can’t ever be sold
That is so valuable it is worth more than money or gold
It inspires you to greatness in good times and in bad
It helps you to be happy when you are feeling really sad
Something I will always cherish in my heart and soul
And will treasure it forever, from now until I’m old
It’s something in my life upon which I can depend
The joy of being able to call you my good friend
I’d like to think our friendship will last forever and a day
It fills my heart with happiness so much more than I can say
I’d truly like to thank you for the times that you are there
These humble words a symbol of just how much I care
I don’t know how my life would be if we had never met
You are an inspiration and someone I will never forget
If there is only one thing that I could say, one message to send
That would be to say that I’m so proud to be your friend
There is nothing more in my life that I could possibly ask for
Than to have a friend as nice as you, of this I am so sure
This is a gift to which there is no price or cost
As it is the compass in my head when I am feeling lost
The joy of conversation is something that I treasure
Just getting to know you has been such a pleasure
In the things that you say and the things that you do
From the bottom of my heart I sincerely say Thank You
Our friendship is so wonderful and I think it is great
That I can stand here and say that you are a good mate
With these words from the heart that let you see
And express just how much our friendship means to me

A beautiful poem with a wonderful theme and message. Very well done I believe.
A wonderful subject .... I also did a poem on friendship, but not f ocusing on my mate. Very true, the value of friendship with our mate.
