i remember when you first said you love me on that night in april
it was late and we were on the phone
we used to talk late everynight, do you remember?
did you mean it then? i know you do now,
but we'd only been together for a week or two
and you had just broken up with another who you'd been with since forever
i know you thought you meant it then, but do you think you really meant it?
had we even shared our first kiss yet? no, i don't believe we had.
then i question if maybe i had been mistaking, but i know that isn't so
so i decide that you have always loved me and our love will only grow
