Shoals

Contributed by luinil on Wednesday, 15th September 2004 @ 04:25:40 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I woke this morning from taunting dream
From pictures I fear I’ll never see
Forsaking the moon’s last dying beam
Close my eyes; pray you’ll come back to me

I walked today with a prophet in the wood
Older than trees and wiser than men
He gave me difference of what will and what should
Closed his eyes; rolled off with the river again

I sleep tonight on a cushion of
Demons crawl free from under my bed
Thunder reminds me of the secrets you tell
Close our eyes; stare blind at the path ahead.

This a remarkably dream and a coinsident that I woke from a demonic dream 'bout my ex but in the dream he could never get anything over on me.
Your style of writing is a very welcome exchange from the norm.

silently, drop your thinking when least expected. Very moving!
