A Heart Warming Story

Contributed by Bruce on Wednesday, 15th September 2004 @ 08:58:45 AM in AEST
Topic: Grief

I watched a Heart Warming Story
on the tv today
A Russian mother and her baby
forced to go away

She had to leave her older daughter
as a hostage in the school
Having wanted her to leave with the baby
and she would remain with the fools

The hostage takers refused this deal
and she was forced to leave
Her beautiful daughter was shot and killed
and now all she can do is grieve

She cannot forgive herself
crying the whole day through
Taking the blame for this happening
when there was nothing else she could do

These people are not humans
even wild animals are better than them
The world must now stand up together
and totally condemn

Each and every one of these people
no matter what race or creed
If riding the world of this terrorism
is ever to succeed

So true, Bruce, so true. United we stand! I watched this tragedy unfold on the news and my heart broke. I'm glad you wrote this. Great write, but the subject of this is so, so sad. :o( All those children. All those people. The world is going to Hell in a handbasket for sure! Kudos!

These people are animals. Why it is allowed to go on I don't know. Someone thinks Bush is a moron and keeps harping on that...well, maybe so...but this seems more of an issue to me also. I wept when I saw the graves being dug...great write. Oh and I'm 56.

You do not cry alone. This poem reflects such horror and saddness back to many a heart. The ache in mine is for all victims every where. Though sad, thank you for these words. June

How I cried how we all cry, Inhuman whatever their cause. To take it out on children on innocent people we all ask why? It solves nothing only causes more hatred and grief.
A excellent piece of poetry so very sad my heart bleeds for the mothers and familys who have lost their loved ones

Love Sweetangelukxxxx
