DreamsandWishes
|
steal a gasp of their feelings
a pinch of the universe in i love you
to hoard it and defend it
and hope to gather enough that one day
i may say it once
and wish my heart to explode
but they sense of my presence
and try to hide their love as if shameful
of the earths knowledge
that the leaves would gossip ecstatically
and the next morning from their bed know
that mother nature has been told
in the gentle cold glow glistening
on the white dustcover of the earth
hours of purity
in her respect just for them
knowing my thievery
drawn selfishly as a vampire
forever drinking the grail
that is never complete
to replace that which i've burnt
in hell

Haunting words, strong imagery. This poem is very well written and I enjoyed reading it.
Greetz,
