The Innocents

Contributed by Voice-of-Revolution on Wednesday, 15th September 2004 @ 02:16:50 AM in AEST
Topic: sarcasticpoetry

"They talk of nothing but that which they feel
When they speak of My feelings.
They talk of nothing but their own peace
When they speak of My peace.
Entrenched in their hypocrisy,
Blinded by their own senses,
They set off, their eyes put out
To put out yours as well.
My Holy Name is copyrighted to them, or so they say.

"Whenever they humble themselves before Me,
They are actually striking
Their brothers down with their pride.
Whenever they talk of their serving Me,
It is in fact the Creature
That they are cavorting with,
Whenever they talk of their loving Me,
It is malice for Mine own creations
That their piety for Me entails.

"O friend,
They say they do not kill anyone,
Nor did they commit any murders before.
But when the collaborators saw you,
Cut down, they knowingly
Turned their backs on you to cut you off,
To leave you face down,
Bleeding away till you were white
In a pool of red blood and black oil
Before Me they spat upon you, crossed themselves
And then they said to Me
“We swear by the Lord God of Hosts, our King
And He who died at Golgotha for us,
That this poor wretch
Was killed by none of us,
We faithful circumcised in heart for Thee.”

"What they did not see
Was that I saw
That there was Iraqi blood
Still wet, seething
With flies, guzzling on
Their pride and sloth
Out on their hands."

Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs. Just like you.

You'll wake up and see one day...
By then it will be too late...
Cuz life will have done passed you by...
And you'll be crying out cuz of your sad final fate...

The opinions of others have got to live man...
They've got to breath...

You think you can speak for God? Or am I reading this wrong? I hope I am.
