She lay on the grass; eyes lingering on the marmalade skies
The pond ripples, reflecting her reverie
The clouds drifted along, carrying with them worries of the world.
Peacefulness... no strife nor turmoil could reach her...
She gazed into the crystalline waters...
Her reflection a hazy outline.
A smile curved on her lips; a swan gracefully glided toward her.
Slowly the majestic moon peeked over the horizon.
Stars glittered over shadowed sky.
She waltzed with the swan in the moonlight,
As the stars played an ensemble of joy.
The night came to an end... her dream faded.
The swan disappeared in the dangling hair of the weeping willow trees...
And the girl was at peace.
