selfstruggles

The thoughts that you think
You can hide so well
Are written very plainly
Anyone looking can tell
What you want so desperately
You want them to stay
but as you sing out your heart
They walk away
Your eyes dark with pain
Watch their backs
As you try to account for
All that you lack
Wishing they would return
Wishing you could see
Anything and everything
They want you to be
I sit in the rear
Of this room in the dark
watching the pain
that shines out of your heart
I would like to give comfort
Just one strong hug
But i really don't know you
Enough to show you love
So I sit helpless
Scared to move
Wanting to help you
But unable to
