I fear the road I walk won’t end
That I’ll march until the stars shine black
Eyes grow red in the stinging wind
I’ve come too far now; I can’t turn back
My bleeding feet have lost their ache
I can’t remember how far I’ve gone
No one told me which path to take
But whose will now is pushing me on
Eyes are hidden in the black of night
Collapse hides in each violent breath
Desperately I search for light
But secretly I long for death
I miss the comfort of my shadow
That shielded me from truth’s great sin
I taste the freedom I never had though
And now I fear my road will end
