What He Did

Contributed by AnastasiaN on Monday, 13th September 2004 @ 09:18:47 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

"You're fat," his eyes said
Stop eating
that's what I did
He checked her out
the pretty thin blonde
"She's hot, you're not."
What could I do
with these eyes so blue?
An imperfect smile?
A face set in stone?
"You're not good enough,"
his actions implied
and he proved it
when he chose her love over mine
it meant nothing to him
but it did something to me
it ravaged my trust
and made it hard for me to believe
I would have given you anything
I would have loved you more
but I wasn't pretty enough
nor could I make you want me more
So I cut it
and hoped to bleed the flaws away
What's left for me
when my heart's turned to dust?
How can I believe in you
when your words have turned to rust?

i've been in this exact relationship, are you sure we're not somehow magically related?!?! no, really, theres so many people, girls especially, caught in this trap. although it doesnt feel it now, you will be so much better off out of that relationship. people used to say that to me and i'd be like whatever, you have no idea, but trust me i do. now you're rid of him you can, slowly, start rebuilding your heart and your well deserved self confidence. katie xxx

Trust me, you will find someone who will look at you and devour everything about you one day ... this man, I'm glad to say will find out soon enough that beauty is much more than skin deep and it's his loss .. so stay strong ... Jan
