Scream To The World

Contributed by eyesxcriedxout1989 on Monday, 13th September 2004 @ 08:29:32 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

You, fading like a bad dream
Woken with a kiss
That seemed like you meant it
Thats why we call it "Bliss"
So I'll give you a single black rose
To express my dying love
And I would peel away a petal
For every person who said we were perfect
You would be left with the stem
Thorns and all; the equivalent of your soul
Which I would steal from you
And throw it on the ground
While screaming to the world
I'LL ALWAYS LOVE HER
As they laugh in my face
And kick me to the ground
I would sprinkle the rose petals
over my body; and sleep in disgrace

I see beauty within the poem, Sorrow bleeds from every word, Angers seed is there, a splintered heart crys a broken balad.......What I dont see is anything to laugh at in this poem!
Beautifully written and well worth the read.

I'm sorry for the breakup and I'm sorry you both left with a heavy heart. But with every down pour comes a rainbow.

something like that...

My dearest friend Mason, this is an enchanting, yet morbid first write! It struck a chord, my friend! I know how you feel... Me and my bf broke up on June 23rd... Oh well, over it and unto new flesh! You will always have her in your memories and heart, but you must forget her if it gives you pain thinking about the past... Believe me, I know it is hard to forget, but you move on, and the past shall stay in the past, not be aprat of the present... Good luck with this anguish, Mason! May your days be filled with happiness, and may you find the love you deserve! Many smiles going your way! You can talk to me about it if you wish... Forever your friend,

Fleur de sang (Stephy)

Very impressive first submission.

Amazing how broken hearts
have made so many of us
poets.
