Looking through his own reflection
He nicked his face, and
Felt the numbness melt away.
He remembered he was still alive
Pain translated into a smile
Across his bleeding visage.
The drops stained the porcelain
Leaving behind stains of renewal.
His life had encased him in a
Chloroform sepulchre, but
The blade released him.
Again, he could feel.

some poems stem from the heart; some stem from the brain. Some from somewhere in between.
Thans for the concers, though. |
