MUMMY HAS FLU
I guess I knew it would not be long
Before I caught the flu
People all around me
Sneezing atishooo
I also want to sleep
No your have the housework mummy
Our house you have to keep
Dinner on the table
We need to still be fed
No worries of how you’re feeling
Fill our tummies instead
Pull me out of bed you do
The covers off of me
No thought of how I’m feeling
A sight your sure to see
Yes I’m up out of bed
Tissues in my hand
Wot use to you am I
Weak I cannot stand
Go to school I see you leave
I kiss you on your cheek
You walk away tutting
In bed you think I’ll sleep
Thank you lots you’ve made me feel
As if I wanted to be
Laying down in bed all day
Guilt you’ve given to me
I’m normally up all hours
Well into the night
Daddy lies there sleeping
Others re alright
