Each day I wake up anxiously, He's the first thing on my mind.
I lay there contemplatively, I think I'm crossing lines.
But his pull strong, his intent sincere,
like metal to magnet he draws me near.
He's a candescent light gently surrounding me in glow.
His words so soft and feathery, spoke in tender tones.
He's like slipping into a water spring when the sun has stolen shade.
his coolness is immersing me deeper as I wade.
He's like tasting for the very first time, something you've never had.
Now a favorite dessert of mine, I got the cravings bad.
He's the reason I've got butterflies and my heart begins to race,
also when my eyes grow wide with smiles upon my face.
He's the star I search the darkened sky to make my nightly wish,
He's always there, there brightest one, to greet me with a kiss.
And when I go to sleep at night he's still set on my mind,
the difference though, between us, not so far behind.
But again I'll wake so anxiously and push it to the side.
we'll wait for now, patiently, and leave it up to time.
