Instinctively I tuck you in
and walk you down a loyal path
sprinkled with seeds of promise and truth
I dedicate my breaths to your being
Unanswerable as wind
the days stretched before me
are no longer my choice
tears simmer beneath my eyelids
echoes of the past, sing lessons of today
My love is mirrored through every tear
engraved in my heart is sadness
it burns inside my chest
webbed with regrets
Prayers have sustained me over this time
We will find away to exist together
restored in me is hope, humming tunes of peace
